Ends on

The Council on Social Work Education Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) Doctoral Fellowship is designed to improve behavioral health care outcomes for all by providing professional development and training opportunities for the behavioral health workforce. Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the program seeks to increase the number and quality of competent mental health and substance use disorder professionals with doctoral degrees who teach, administer services, conduct research, and provide direct mental health and/or substance use disorder services to our Nation’s communities. Through recruitment and selection of talented students, MFP has supported more than 1,000 social work fellows.

To assist you with the application process, the MFP Team has prepared an Application Guidebook. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions if you have additional questions.

MFP fellowships are contingent upon funding from SAMSHA.
