2026-2027 MFP Master's
Ends on
The Council on Social Work Education Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) Master's Fellowship is designed to improve behavioral health care outcomes for all by providing professional development and training opportunities for the behavioral health workforce. Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the program seeks to increase the number and quality of competent mental health and substance use disorder professionals with MSW degrees who administer services, teach, conduct research, and provide direct mental health and/or substance use disorder services to our Nation’s communities. Through recruitment and selection of talented students, MFP has supported more than 1,000 social work fellows.
To assist you with the application process, the MFP Team has prepared a Frequently Asked Questions document, Application Guidebook and informative video detailing program goals and offerings. We also invite applicants to participate in an online interactive question and answer session designed to provide details about the program and application process taking place April 6, 2026 from 3 PM (EST) - 4 PM (EST). Register here. Live-captioning accommodations can be requested by emailing mfp@cswe.org.
MFP fellowships are contingent upon funding from SAMSHA.
